The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence.
Responsibilities
- Report to Shop Foreman.
- Ensuring safety in all that we do.
- Complete preventative maintenance, diagnose, and repair McConnell and Associates fleet of equipment including Tractors, Trailers, Dump Trucks, Pick Ups, Cars, Skid Steers, Fork Lifts, Pavers, Rollers, and other various construction equipment.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation.
- Welding, cutting, and fabricating as needed.
- Perform road test.
- Maintain own tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 or more years Diesel Mechanic experience – preferably 5 plus years experience.
- 1 or more years Gasoline Mechanic experience – preferably 5 plus years experience.
- 1 or more years Construction Equipment Mechanic experience – preferably 5 plus years experience.
- 1 or more years Welding experience – preferably 5 plus years experience.
- Airbrake experience preferred.
- Electrical Systems / Wiring Lighting on Trailers experience preferred.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Relatively clean motor vehicle report. (Applicants w/ a drug or alcohol driving offense in the last three years will not be Other violations will be evaluated using our insurance company standards.)
- Ability to work 50 – 70 hours a week including weekends.
